The discharge outlet of the waste pump comes with a fitting for connecting either a 25 mm hose or a 38 mm hose. Which diameter is better? Does the smaller one allow for better internal flushing of the hose, or is the larger diameter always preferable? What is the difference in use between choosing a 25 mm or a 38 mm hose? It would be easier for me to install the 25 mm hose because I have limited space and the bends are tight.
Both hose sizes work, but 25 mm is perfectly fine if space is tight. It does not reduce flushing performance in normal installations, and it can even improve the self‑cleaning effect inside the hose because of the higher flow velocity.

Ich habe den Johnson Schalter für Bilgepumpen mit Bilgepumpe und Floatschalter verdrahtet. Die Bilgepumpe läuft sowohl über manuelle Schaltung wie auch über „Automatik“ mit geschlossenem Floatschalter.
Was nicht funktioniert: Die Kontrolldiode leuchtet nicht während die Bilgepumpe läuft. - weder im manuellen noch im automatischen Betrieb. Ist es möglich, daß die Leuchtdiode defekt ist oder wie ist die korrekte Verdrahtung, um die Diode zum Leuchten zu bringen?

The wiring can vary depending on the switch type: • The Ultima Switch is fully electronic. • The electromagnetic switch is a hybrid sensor-electronic version. • The classic AS888 float switch is fully manual. If the light is not working, it could be due to a faulty diode or incorrect wiring. Please ensure that the switch, bilge pump control panel, and any other switches or fuses are installed on the positive (+) line between the battery’s positive terminal and the pump’s positive (brown) wire. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
ich habe die Pumpe am Samstag ermalig in Betrieb genommen.
Anfangs schaltete Sie nie ab. Habe Sie dann manuel betrieben.,Später lief der Motor aber die Pumpe förderte nicht.
Ich würde von meinem Rückgaberecht gebrauch machen und den Preis erstattet bekommen.

Without specific details or images, it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact cause, but we’d like to offer some helpful tips that might resolve the problem. First, please ensure you are using appropriately sized connectors for 16-gauge wire, as this is crucial for proper operation. Also, it’s important to maintain at least 1 inch (25 mm) of clearance between the Ultima Bilge pump sensors and any nearby walls or objects. Insufficient clearance can cause the sensors to detect a surface and keep the pump running continuously. If you are using a 3-way switch, you can wire the pump for manual override or automatic operation: • Connect the black (-) wire to the negative terminal of the battery. • For manual override, connect the brown wire from the pump to the switch panel. • For automatic operation, connect the brown/white (+) wire to the switch panel. • Don’t forget to include an appropriately rated inline fuse on the positive line from the battery to the switch panel. If you’re not using a switch panel, connect the black (-) wire to the battery’s negative terminal, and connect the brown/white (+) wire directly to the battery’s positive terminal. The brown wire should be sealed in this setup. To test the pump’s function, place two fingers over the raised circular sensors on the back of the pump. After about 5 seconds, the pump should start. Removing one finger should keep it running, while removing both should turn it off. If you continue to experience difficulties, please reach out with more details or photos — we’re here to help!
